Hi,

November 15th is America Recycles Day. Will you take the pledge to reduce, reuse and recycle your plastics?

According to its website, America Recycles Day educates people about the importance of recycling to our economy and environmental well-being.[1] This national initiative highlights how we can be more mindful about using or purchasing products made with recycled content, reduce contamination in the recycling stream, and transition from occasional recyclers to everyday recyclers.

But here’s the catch:  Our waste problem won’t be solved just by putting a plastic bottle in a bin — we have to entirely change our lifestyles to reduce our purchase of single-use plastics and reuse the materials we already have. We can also use our consumer purchasing power to drive drive change by choosing recycled materials or when possible, skipping plastic altogether.

Sign the petition: I pledge to do my part to stop plastic pollution by reducing, reusing, and recycling plastic materials.

For a trash-free world,
