Listen, the odds have been stacked against me since I first decided to run for office. MI-11 is historically a red district – Trump won during the 2016 election and a Democrat hadn’t served a full term here since 1967. I knew from the very beginning that it would be difficult to win.

But after doing voter outreach and sharing ideas with constituents on how to improve our community, we came together in 2018 and showed the country that we were ready for change. And then, despite efforts and attacks from Trump and his Republican allies, we did it again in 2020.

Now, we have a tough re-election race with recent polling showing me virtually tied with my opponent.

If we want to make history and win a third consecutive term, then we need every early investment we can get. Your hard-earned dollars go a long way towards guaranteeing we have what it takes to compete with the dark money used against us.
