No doubt about it, John: Republican gerrymandering reduces the political power of Black communities. The GOP knows this. In fact, they're banking on it.

The Washington Post reports that while America's white population has shrunk and communities of color have grown over the past decade, “the rapid growth of Latinos and Blacks is not reflected in [most] of the new maps passed so far... Black-majority districts decreased by five seats while majority-White districts grew by eight seats.” Unacceptable!
And now Florida's Republican Governor, Ron DeSantis, is trying to slash the number of the state's Black-majority congressional districts IN HALF.
