Dear John,

Protecting water resources is imperative, especially as rising average global temperatures and shifting weather patterns make freshwater more scarce and exacerbate water pollution problems.

The $5 trillion global food and agribusiness sector operates at the center of the world’s growing water crisis. These companies are highly dependent on cheap, abundant water supplies, and are among the first to feel the heat from water risk.

Ceres recently released the 3rd edition of Feeding Ourselves Thirsty: Tracking Food Company Progress Toward a Water-Smart Future, where 40 major food and beverage companies were evaluated on how they are addressing water risks, and how their performance has shifted since the first round of benchmarking in 2015.

On December 10th, 2019, from noon to 1pm EST, Ceres will host a webinar to discuss these findings and their implications for food companies and their shareholders.
