We are seeing this play out on the world stage as Putin takes advantage of our Woke government that thinks sanctions and maternity uniforms are going to stop the invasion of Ukraine. The failure of Biden’s leadership can be clearly understood by his warnings to the world of Putin’s impending invasion. Biden knew it was coming and when it came there was no action plan in place, only an offer to fly out the Ukrainian President and declare surrender to the Russians. This is a time when we should all pay attention to who is paying the price. The people of Ukraine are bearing the brunt of Biden’s failure, and they are losing their lives and livelihoods because of his weak leadership. It will be the common person that suffers while our leaders try to talk their way out of the situation they created. The Russians have a saying that Putin does not have to destroy the United States, simply because the Democrats are beating him to it. We still have the opportunity to win in 2022 and begin ending the suffering the Democrats have started. It’s time to stop the idiocy begun by the Democrat Party. Let’s win in 2022. The time is now. The RNC, which shared its latest data and grassroots metrics first with Fox News on Wednesday, argues the rival Democratic National Committee (DNC) is "playing catch-up." Officials at the RNC say their story starts with fundraising. As Fox News first reported a month ago, the RNC set an off-election record fundraising haul in 2021, edging the DNC in the campaign cash race. And the RNC topped its Democratic counterpart again in January fundraising, $13 million to $10.2 million. But the DNC retains a cash-on-hand advantage with over $11 million more in its coffers than the RNC as of the end of last month. Pointing to Ronna McDaniel, who’s chaired the RNC since 2017, communications director Danielle Alvarez noted that "the chairwoman during her tenure has raised $1.3 billion." The RNC notes that its fundraising prowess has allowed it to invest in its data and field operations. The committee says it has invested over $350 million in data operation over the past couple of election cycles to develop state-of-the-art data and technology. "Nobody else does data like the RNC does data," Alvarez touted. And RNC political director Elliot Echols noted that "all the data that the RNC collects … we share with campaigns up and down the ballot for free," which he says gives them a huge advantage over the DNC. "When we talk about being able to flip these voters back, it’s because of the RNC’s data operation that we’re able to share with state parties, share with campaigns, to provide the best targets for these candidates to go after and for us to turn them out.," Echols said. The RNC says its data helps it decide where to build its grassroots outreach operation. "What’s driving all this is our data operation," Echols noted "It’s telling us who to go talk to. We’re then using this massive field investment that we have to then get our volunteers and our staff to have these conversations with people." "The chairwoman’s investment in the ground game [in 2021] allowed us to re-engage a significant number of the 2.6 million volunteers and ultimately turn out Republican voters all across the country throughout the year." The RNC says that its efforts helped the GOP to flip the governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general’s office and House of Delegates, in November’s elections in Virginia. It also made gains in the state legislature in the blue state of New Jersey. The RNC says it currently has "more than 200 field staff in battleground states across the country" and that "we’re pretty close to presidential level build ups right now in a lot of these states and especially in battleground congressional districts." "These field staffers are out organizing their communities, recruiting, training and getting people activated to go out and make those volunteer voter contacts," Echols said. "When it comes time to persuading and turning out people, Republicans up and down the ballot are in the best position possible." Paris Dennard, RNC national spokesman and director of Black media affairs, highlighted the committee’s current 20 community centers. It expects to expand that number to 30 by November’s midterms. Dennard noted the "long-term strategic effort to engage the minority communities. And when I say minorities, I mean the Black community, the Hispanic community, Asian Pacific American community, as well as the Native American community. "Donors and investors are saying this is something that is tangible, this is something that is real, this is something we can see that is happening that we want to invest in." The DNC is also highlighting its efforts. Party officials note that the DNC transferred over $1.3 million in January to support state parties, and that the committee and President Biden have made "critical investments" in partners, including the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, (DCCC), the reelection arms of the Senate and House Democrats and the Democratic Governors Association (DGA). The DNC highlights its $20 million funding last year to put staff on the ground in key states earlier than ever before, as well as a $25 million investment for voter education, protection and registration. "Not only does the DNC have record grassroots engagement and has already invested more earlier than ever before in the midterm elections, but Democrats are actually delivering for the American people," DNC deputy communications director Daniel Wessel told Fox News. Wessel argued that "the Republican Party knows that boasting about their programs doesn't mean they'll win elections, and they should be more focused on figuring out how they'll explain to voters their plan to raise taxes on over half of Americans while doing nothing to lower costs for working families." The RNC counters that the stability in its leadership has given it an edge in allowing it to think long term. Alvarez noted that "by the time this cycle ends, chairwoman McDaniel will be the longest serving chair in RNC history and, as a result, she can make long-term strategic investments." GOVERNOR RON DESANTIS AND SURGEON GENERAL DR. JOE LAPADO BUCK CDC WITH NEW OFFICIAL STATE GUIDANCE Governor Ron DeSantis and State Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo announced significant changes to Florida’s COVID-19 guidance including pushing back on unscientific corporate masking, reducing isolation for all Floridians including those in schools and daycares, and recommending that physicians should exercise their individual clinical judgement and expertise based on their patients’ needs and preferences. For more information about Florida’s new guidance, click here. “People want to live freely in Florida, without corporate masking creating a two-tier society and without overbearing isolation for children,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “We are empowering health care practitioners to follow science, not Fauci’s status quo.” Public health updates in Florida now include: Pushing Back Against Corporate Masking for Employees Advising Health Care Practitioners and Facilities to Reevaluate Status Quo Protocols in Favor of Scientifically Based Treatment Options to Benefit Patients Updating Daycare Guidance to Limit Child Isolation to 5 Days Updating the School Rule to Limit Student Isolation to 5 Days Reducing Isolation for Floridians with COVID to 5 Days “The State of Florida has widespread natural and vaccine-induced immunity,” said State Surgeon General Dr. Joseph A. Ladapo. “Evidence suggests that most secondary transmission occurs early on. Our state will continue to make decisions for Floridians rooted in sound science, not fear, whether they are working or in school.” Pushing Back Against Corporate Masking for Employees Despite a lack of evidence that masks, and particularly cloth face coverings, prevent the transmission of COVID-19, many corporations have continued to require their employees to wear masks at work, regardless of the situation. Unlike CDC guidance, Florida’s new masking guidance advises against wearing facial coverings in a community setting. There is not strong evidence that masks reduce the transmission of respiratory illness. This guidance makes clear that all employees at a corporation should not be forced to wear a mask while at work. The guidance recognizes that there are millions of employees in Florida working in industries from hospitality to manufacturing to banking who for no reason whatsoever have been forced to wear a mask at work. The full guidance can be accessed here. Advising Health Care Practitioners and Facilities to Reevaluate Status Quo Protocols in Favor of Scientifically Based Treatment Options to Benefit Patients Florida recognizes that health care practitioners know best how to treat their patients. With today’s actions, state guidance is now clear that practitioners will have the flexibility to make the decision to treat patients with off-label prescriptions if they determine that it may help the patient and it is something the patient would like to try and provides informed consent to try. Florida has always believed in providing all possible treatment options to health care providers and led efforts to make monoclonal antibody treatments available statewide. The full guidance can be accessed here. Updating Daycare Guidance to Limit Child Isolation to 5 Days Florida is supporting parents with children in daycare by updating outdated, unscientific guidelines that hurt working families and keep kids out of school. Florida is making it clear that healthy children in daycare do not need to quarantine; children in daycare who test positive for COVID-19 can return after five days, with no test required. This guidance also reiterates that children attending daycare should never be forced to wear a mask — this choice should always be made by the parent. The full guidance can be accessed here. Updating the School Rule to Limit Student Isolation to 5 Days The Florida Department of Health is also updating the school isolation rule to reduce isolation to 5 days. Parents still maintain the right to determine if their child should wear a mask and that remains strictly optional. The updated rule language can be found here. Reducing Isolation for Floridians with COVID to 5 Days The new 5-day isolation guidance for COVID-19 issued by the Florida Department of Health is based on science and was informed by access to treatments, the benefits and harms of isolation, and widespread immunity. The 5-day guidance does not rely on the use of masks as a mitigation technique among the general public, as the use of masks has been shown to be ineffective in preventing transmission. This guidance recognizes that the CDC’s guidance is vastly out of date and has forced Floridians to miss work and school even when it is safe to return. The updated guidance language can be found here. SENATOR RICK SCOTT'S "MY PLAN TO RESCUE AMERICA" Senator Rick Scott’s “My Plan to Rescue America” sets the stage for a real choice of which future Americans want their country to achieve. by Newt Gingrich Today Senator Rick Scott released “My Plan to Rescue America.” This is a proposal which sets the stage for a real choice of which future Americans want their country to achieve. I strongly endorse the direction Sen. Scott is taking in the Senate, and that Leader Kevin McCarthy is taking in the House. Both men understand that a political party has to stand for something and not simply campaign against the other side. Sen. Scott warned that “We won’t stop the woke socialist crowd and turn this country around without a plan.” He is 100 percent right. If Republicans simply win a performance election in which people conclude that the Democrats are incompetent but not necessarily wrong, then the country will continue to drift toward a disastrous Big Government Socialist woke future which will inevitably cripple our future. As Senator Scott said: “I agree with Mitch McConnell that the election’s mostly going to be about the Biden agenda. But I believe in having plans, and I’m putting this out.” Scott warned that “if Republicans return to Washington’s business as usual, if we have no bigger plan than to be a speed bump on the road to America’s collapse, we don’t deserve to govern. We must resolve to aim higher than the Republican Congresses that came before us.” Scott’s approach is similar to the Commitment to America which Leader McCarthy used in the 2020 election for House Republicans. McCarthy’s positive approach was a significant factor in shocking the so-called election experts in 2020. They had predicted a 25-seat House Republican loss. But with McCarthy’s leadership and tremendous effort recruiting good candidates, the House GOP gained 15 seats. That is an impressive swing. Sen. Scott is following a similar path to the one in 1994, which led to the Contract with America and the first House Republican majority in 40 years. Scott has developed an 11-point plan with 128 specific policy ideas to Rescue America. Among many other things, the plan calls for: every child in every school to say the pledge of allegiance, stand for the national anthem, and learn that America is the greatest country in this world. a complete end to racial politics. treating Socialism as a foreign adversary and we will use all force to stop it from destroying our country. the end to our economic relationship with communist China. term limits not only for politicians but also for government bureaucrats. common sense…such as…men are men, women are women, there are two genders…and science confirms that unborn babies are human beings. a complete end to voter fraud and for protecting the integrity of our elections. an end to the foolish soft-on-crime policies that are destroying our cities and killing innocent Americans. securing our border, building the wall, and naming it after President Donald J. Trump. I find this kind of idea leadership exciting and encouraging. We must win two arguments to really start turning America around. First, we must win the performance argument that with gasoline prices, food prices, inflation, a disaster on the border, skyrocketing murder and robbery rates, a weak and dangerous foreign policy, and a host of other failures, the Democrats have failed and need to be replaced. That argument will be easy to win as the failures become more obvious. Second, we must win the argument that these failures are more than just a function of performance, the ideas themselves are hopelessly wrong. We must convince people that Big Government Socialism and woke policies simply do not work in the real world. Sen. Scott has made a significant contribution toward winning those two arguments. He has also set the stage for debating those Republicans who want a purely negative campaign. They might win the election, but they will lose historically and fail to set the right stage for 2024. Between Scott and McCarthy, we have the beginning of a much healthier and more positive problem-solving GOP.
