Last month marks one year since President Biden's inauguration.
In his first year in the oval office, the Biden administration has advanced numerous unconstitutional actions that threaten America's promise of liberty for all.
As Alliance Defending Freedom promised you, friend, we countered many of those unlawful actions in court, filing 10 lawsuits and interventions against the administration throughout 2021.
And as we saw just last month, when we stand together, we can win! The U.S. Supreme Court halted the Biden administration's COVID-19 vaccine mandate for private employers with 100 or more employees. The support of Ministry Friends like you has been vital in multiple lawsuits we filed challenging the mandate.
We must use that momentum and continue to hold the administration accountable in 2022.

They would rather simply live out their faith without fear of government punishment. But these ADF clients aren't willing to sit by silently as the Biden administration violates their religious liberty and other God-given freedoms.- College of the Ozarks is challenging a directive issued by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development that forces colleges and universities, including faith-based institutions, to allow males and females to share dorm rooms, showers, and locker rooms. The directive, which is part of the fallout from a Biden executive order redefining "sex" in federal law to include "gender identity," targets religious schools because of their beliefs about marriage and sex. You helped ADF file a federal lawsuit on behalf of the college. We are awaiting a ruling from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit.
- The American College of Pediatricians (ACP) is also in court following the administration's radical reinterpretation of "sex," which affects the Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare"). That means that doctors could be forced to act against their medical judgment, religious beliefs, and conscience in performing controversial and often medically dangerous gender transition interventions on all patients-including children. Under this new mandate, doctors can be punished with huge financial penalties, loss of federal funding, and even the removal of their ability to practice medicine in most settings. With your help, ADF filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of ACP.
- Because of a Biden administration action, Holston United Methodist Home for Children could lose critical funding for its adoption and foster care services if it refuses to surrender its deeply held views on faith, family, and marriage. Holston Home has served vulnerable children for more than 120 years, providing them hope and healing for a brighter future, sharing the love of Jesus with them, and helping them navigate trauma and find loving homes. But because Holston Home only places children in homes that align with the ministry's faith, they risk losing significant funding. Through your generosity, we filed a lawsuit on behalf of Holston Home against this threat.
- The Christian Employers Alliance (CEA) is challenging two federal mandates that force religious employers to pay for or perform gender transition procedures, counseling, and treatments in violation of their religious beliefs. The CEA and its members believe these procedures are morally wrong and contradict the truth that God created humans as male or female. Because of people like you, we were able to file a federal lawsuit on behalf of CEA and its members.
- In yet another response to the Biden administration's radical redefinition of "sex," we are representing the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and seeking intervention in a lawsuit filed against the U.S. Department of Education (DOE). Twenty state attorneys general are challenging the DOE's guidance that Title IX's definition of "sex" includes "sexual orientation" and "gender identity." This guidance requires schools to allow males who identify as female to participate on female athletic teams and use female-designated showers and locker rooms. We've filed a motion to intervene in the case on behalf of ASCI and three female athletes.
These clients are engaged in ongoing cases challenging the administration's unconstitutional policies.
