John- This afternoon, the Senate will vote for the first time ever on legislation that enshrines the right to abortion in federal law.
This is a historic moment. But passing the Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA) is an uphill battle, and we are counting on people like you to help build support for this critical bill to protect abortion access.
If you haven’t contacted your Senators yet to vote YES on WHPA – there’s still time!
Thank you for taking action. We will keep you updated on the results of this historic vote.

Subject: 🚨WHPA vote on FEB. 28 — Tell your Senators to protect abortion NOW
The Senate just announced it will vote on the Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA) on February 28. With abortion access hanging by a thread, WHPA would protect the right to abortion in federal law for the first time. Tell your Senators to pass WHPA now!
Tell Your Senators to Protect Abortion Access NOW
John –
It’s not enough to rely on Roe v. Wade, especially when abortion access is out of reach for millions of people. The Supreme Court’s refusal to block Texas’ ban on nearly all abortion – giving the green light for other states to introduce their own versions of S.B. 8 – means federal protections are needed as soon as possible.
If signed into law, WHPA would provide the tools to roll back restrictive abortion laws and prevent states from banning abortion if Roe is overturned (which is likely).
Your lawmakers need to hear from you now about why safeguarding abortion access is so critical:
We must continue advocating for everyone's ability to make decisions about their bodies and their futures, no matter what.
Thanks for being with us in this moment. We appreciate all you do!
Talk soon,
