Last January CODEPINK helped organize a global day of action for Yemen. It was the largest anti-war mobilization since the resistance to the second U.S. war in Iraq. This week we are taking action all over the United States to demand an end to U.S. complicity in this war. 

Join the movement by demanding Congress pass a War Powers Resolution for Yemen! 

Since the last time I asked you to contact your members of Congress, Representatives Jayapal and DeFazio committed publicly to passing a War Powers Resolution for Yemen-- so your activism is working! 

A War Powers Resolution would seek to end spare parts transfers and maintenance that the U.S. supplies to the Saudi Royal Air Force. Congress did not consent to provide that support to the Saudi-led coalition that is bombing and starving Yemen, and it has the power to stop it. 

We are living in the belly of the beast, and we have the moral obligation to be doing everything we can to stop our country's complicity in Yemeni suffering. This war is approaching its seventh anniversary. It is unacceptable. 

Tell Congress to pass a War Powers Resolution for Yemen! 

You can also take action in a number of different ways this week. You can join us in the streets in Rhode Island, Vermont, New York, DC, Chicago, Glen Ellyn, Milwaukee, and Oakland.

We are in a moment where the peace movement needs to show up and resist war everywhere. Wherever and however you're taking action this week, bring a friend or two along with you.
