I can’t believe what the MassGOP’s candidate for Governor just said.

Geoff Diehl was in Florida this weekend for the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), the annual gathering of ultra-conservatives, where he was singing the praises of Donald Trump and detailing his plans to take Massachusetts backward. When he was asked about the election here, this is what he had to say:

“I’m down here at CPAC, not worrying about what’s going on in Massachusetts.”

What? Geoff Diehl is running to be Governor of Massachusetts, but he’s bragging about how he doesn’t care what’s happening here in our state. Will you rush a contribution to our campaign to send a clear message to Geoff Diehl that his vision for Massachusetts isn’t going to cut it? [[link removed]]

Let me tell you what our team has been up to while Geoff Diehl was on conservative radio and schmoozing with Trump’s base. We attended 10 caucuses, from Pittsfield to Hopkinton to Holbrook to Falmouth and more. We had volunteers in communities across the state yesterday joining our Signature Collection Day of Action to qualify for the ballot. We held a virtual town hall for Somerville residents and hosted volunteer trainings.

We need a Governor who is connected to Massachusetts communities and eager to get out there and listen to voters – not someone who will shrug off what’s happening here at home. We can’t afford Geoff Diehl and Donald Trump’s vision for Massachusetts to take hold.
