In just 100 days, we will face the biggest hurdle thus far in our campaign to defeat Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and expand our Democratic Senate majority: our primary election.

Look, I'm not going to beat around the bush, John. The Senate just can't get the job done for the American people with control split right down the middle.

We've got to go on the offensive and retire those like Sen. Grassley, who's been in Washington 47 years (too damn long, in my opinion!) and has turned his back on the people he's supposed to serve. We've got to defeat vulnerable Republican incumbents and usher in a real, working majority that will deliver for the American people. 

I will be the candidate to do just that. Nobody will work harder than I will to defeat Sen. Grassley. With your help, come Election Day, we can do it.

First, we've got to give this grassroots movement everything we've got over the next 100 days and win this primary. As a member of this team, I know how much you care about flipping this seat blue and expanding our Senate majority. That's why I have to ask: Will you donate $5 or more right now to get us through this primary and defeat Sen. Grassley? Every dollar you give ensures we have the resources to compete and win over the next 100 days.

I've been proud to serve the people of Iowa since I was just 25 years old. First in the state legislature, and then in Congress, where I was the youngest woman to flip a House seat from red to blue and pass legislation through the House – during a government shutdown, as a matter of fact!

Come November, with your help, we won't just defeat Sen. Grassley – who is running for his eighth consecutive Senate term. We'll send the youngest woman to the United States Senate, where I promise to lift up the voices of working families like the one I come from. To fight for the working families who don't have a fighter in Sen. Grassley. 

Here's the thing, though. The campaign arm of the Senate Republicans has already attacked me, and they're sitting on $39 million to keep on attacking competitive challengers like me. I don't need $39 million worth of wealthy donor money to win, and I don't want it. What I need is you, John. Donating $10, $20, $50 at a time, I know we can win.

So please, can I count on you to help me raise another $10,000 by donating $5 or more right now? With our primary 100 days out, we need resources now to stay competitive and defeat Sen. Grassley come November.
