Meme Rosie with Van, my 5th kid and her 26th grandkid.
I'm the mother of seven kids, a former foster parent, and I'm wrapping up my Master's degree in Social Work. When people hear that I'm also running for Arkansas Lieutenant Governor, I often hear, "Don't you have enough on your plate?"
But I live my life by the principle of the Rosie Special. I'm okay with a full plate, when it's full of things I love. My family, my job, my school, our busy basketball schedule, and my campaign for Lieutenant Governor make for a really sweet Rosie Special.
We deserve leaders who can handle a full plate, who will help people navigate clunky government systems AND work to make them more accessible. That's why I'm in this race -- for my family and yours.
As we begin to close the books on this short month, I need to ask: can you pitch in a few dollars to help us with budgeting and planning as we head toward November?
Every dollar we bring in gets my name in front of another fellow Arkansan who might not have heard of me before, so it really makes a huge difference.
Thanks again and until next time, I’m wishing you a Rosie Special – a plate full of all the things you love.
Kelly
