Republicans are out of touch with reality. Again.

Republican Senator Rick Scott, who is leading GOP efforts to take back the Senate majority in November, has rolled out a ‘Save America’ plan that even his colleagues describe as going too far.

“Too far” is a mild description.

The plan is an unhinged, right-wing diatribe that, among other things, proposes taxing low-income families and seniors.

It also declares there are only two genders, aggressively promotes Donald Trump’s Big Lie about the 2020 election results, accuses Democrats of still stealing elections and rigging the courts, and wants the southern border wall completed and named after Trump.

The plan is receiving an enthusiastic endorsement from disgraced former Speaker Newt Gingrich, who believes it’s a winning plan for Republicans heading into the midterm elections.

But, folks, here’s the sad reality.

The ‘Save America’ plan is a perfect fit for today’s Republican Party. It says out loud what the GOP, filled with Trumpists, is not secretly thinking. The Scott manifesto extends Republican beliefs’ insisting the January 6 attack on the Capitol was “legitimate political discourse.”

As Democrats, we can’t let crazed Republicans take back the House majority in November. David and his Democratic colleagues work around the clock to help American families — families Republicans want to tax out of existence.
