Henry Cuellar’s house and campaign office were raided by the FBI last month — but he still has a serious chance to win his primary against Justice Democrat Jessica Cisneros on Tuesday.

If Cuellar uses his massive campaign war chest, funded by Wall Street, Big Oil, and GOP mega-donors, to defeat Jessica, Cuellar will remain the only anti-abortion Democrat in the House. Just like the Politico headline above says, Cuellar could really win this thing, even with his cloud of corruption.

But this isn’t only about this one primary. Justice Democrats is a response to corporate Democrats taking money from corporate PACs and blocking progressive legislation in Congress. That’s why alongside Jessica’s primary, we’re supporting five other Justice Democrats this year running against the political establishment.

Jessica’s race will be our first and biggest test. We’ve been with Jessica since 2019, we helped her launch her campaign, we were there through her first race against Cuellar when she only lost by 2,700 votes, and we’ve been back with her in these last six months preparing for what would be a colossal victory for progressives.

It will come down to Tuesday, when the votes are counted in Texas — then, we’re on to the rest of our 2022 progressive primary fights.
