Most U.S. adults feel religion is losing influence in public life, and more people view this as a bad thing rather than a good thing, a Pew Research Center survey finds. A Fact Tank post explores the partisan sentiment on this issue; most Republicans and those who lean toward the GOP say that religion losing influence in American life is a “bad thing,” while Democrats are mixed on the issue.
