dream of freedom.
Friend—
What. A. Week.
💌 First, on Sunday, the 40 young Jews
participating in the Jeremiah Fellowship helped drive over 1,000
messages to Congress, demanding they champion justice for immigrant
communities under attack.
☎️ Then, Wednesday, this community
made our message even louder during a national call-in day that
generated phone calls to over 50 members of Congress.
At Bend
the Arc, we believe that developing the next generation of Jewish
leadership is critical to building the thriving, multiracial democracy
we long for. That’s what the Jeremiah Fellowship is all
about.
If
you’re inspired by the action our community took this week, help make
sure the young Jews in your life know about the Jeremiah Fellowship’s
new 2020 cohort — which is accepting applications and nominations
now!
The details: From April to August 2020,
the Jeremiah Fellowship is an organizing and leadership program for
young Jews (ages 22-32).
This year, Jeremiah Fellows built
power in 8 cities across the country — visiting legislators,
developing campaigns, and organizing actions. Next year the Fellowship
is expanding even more, to 16 cities across the country.
This
one-of-a-kind national program is accepting applications for a cohort
of 80 young Jews, and your help is needed to find people who are ready
for this opportunity.
Take
a look at all the cities where fellows are being recruited + think
about who you know in those areas + recommend them through an easy
form.
This has been a big week, and we are so
grateful. Thank you for all that you do to build a just world.
In solidarity,
Carrie Sterns Jeremiah Fellowship
