Title X changed – maybe even SAVED – my life.
Planned Parenthood

“Pre-cancerous.”

It wasn't cancer — not yet, at least — but it was just as terrifying. I had pre-cancerous cells rapidly growing on my cervix. I needed additional testing and treatment — fast — but I was out of a job and didn't have health insurance.

I walked around with a pit in my stomach for days. I felt hopeless. Scared. Trapped.

Then someone at Planned Parenthood told me about Title X, which provides affordable reproductive health care to people who can't otherwise afford it. People like me. Through Title X, I was able to get the testing and follow up care I needed at no cost. All those doctor's visits, all those tests — I couldn't have afforded any of it without Title X.

Access to health care should never depend on your income. I'm glad my health care didn't depend on mine. Others right now aren't so lucky. The Trump administration forced Planned Parenthood out of the Title X program this year, threatening millions — MILLIONS! — of people's access to affordable birth control, wellness exams, and, yes, cancer screenings and care.

Thank you for listening to my story. I hope you'll forward this message to your friends, family, and co-workers. It's so important that we all understand what's at stake in this Title X fight: the lives of so many people.
Sincerely,
Liliana
