Now is the time for the President to finally step up and actually achieve something significant: Energy Independence.
The United States can produce enough natural gas and oil to reduce Europe's reliance on Russia for energy.
Energy security is becoming more and more important, and the United States should be ready and willing to take advantage of this opportunity.
We must:

Sanction Russian energy projects like the Nord Stream 2 pipeline;

Develop a streamlined process to sell energy to NATO allies; and
-
Protect against Russian cyber attacks against our energy infrastructure.
We cannot allow Putin to dominate energy and use it to intimidate the world.
The success of this moment depends on whether or not Joe Biden stands up for American energy.
