We’re days away from our first election of the year, John, and a lot is on the line.
These days, the good news coming from Washington has slowed to a trickle. But if WFP knows how to do anything, it’s how to take charge — not sit back.
So I’m here to tell you why we need a working families majority in 2022. But first, will you make a contribution to the Working Families Party? We’re counting on our grassroots supporters to help us build the infrastructure needed to win big this year.

History has shown us that we can't depend on the Democratic Party to fight for our interests. When it came down to securing the Civil Rights Act, Medicaid, the Voting Rights Act, and other landmark legislation, it was movements and progressives that won.
But winning narrow – and very imperfect – Democratic majorities in Congress is clearly not enough. Not when conservative factions, emboldened by corporate interests, can undermine it.
In order to build a government that works for all of us, we need people in Congress who represent us, the multi-racial working class. And we have a plan on how to get there.
By electing Mandela Barnes in Wisconsin and Malcom Kenyatta in Pennsylvania, we can counter the influence of obstructionist Democrats like Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin, who have championed corporate interests and have defended the Jim-Crow filibuster.
And our first elections of the year in Texas represent our opportunities to expand our progressive coalition in Congress. Jessica Cisneros is running against Trump’s favorite Democrat — Henry Cuellar — who stood against popular investments for working people. Greg Casar and Jasmine Crockett are running in just two of the many open-seat races caused by retirements and redistricting.
Election Day in November might seem far away, but primaries are in full swing — primary day in Texas is on Tuesday. Other primaries will be here before we know it. Can you join us by donating $3 to help us win a working families majority in 2022?
