Folks,

They say that if you don’t have anything nice to say, you shouldn’t say anything at all. But I have a few choice words to share with today’s Republican Party.

January 6th was a traumatic event – a violent mob emboldened by Donald Trump and a majority of Congressional Republicans stormed the Capitol to try and stop the peaceful transition of power.

These insurrectionists were threatening Democrats and Republicans alike and yet, a year later, Republicans are calling what happened on January 6th “legitimate political discourse.”

These are not the words of a party committed to democracy. They are the words of a party that is petrified of democracy and will do everything they can to destroy it, lest they face the true will of the people.

They are the words of a party that refuses to take responsibility for their dangerous rhetoric and how it’s infected our entire country and radicalized peripheral groups they've lost control of.

Republicans don’t care about the sanctity of our democracy. They care about consolidating their own power even if it means empowering radical, violent groups.

This is the future of the Republican Party, folks, and it’s dangerous. We need to do everything in our power to keep Republicans from gaining control of the House.

I’m falling critically behind on my February fundraising goal and I need 250 people to chip in a matched donation today to defend my seat AND our House majority from these extremists.

Chip in $25 (becomes $50) » [[link removed]]

We're in this together,
Sean
