IL-06 district is on the National Republican Congressional Committee's target list, and the Cook Political Report recently rated it as vulnerable to a takeover. It's clear that we're going to face a fight to keep this seat blue in November, and Marie is the strongest possible candidate to face the GOP.

She's shown that she can build a massive grassroots campaign and bring new folks into the political process. She's built a record of success centered on improving access to transit and easing the economic burden on working families. She's done it all without taking a single dollar of corporate PAC money – and that's made some in the party establishment nervous.

They are going to throw everything they have at Marie in advance of the June primary, and we need to be building up the resources now to respond.
