As a progressive who pays attention, it will be of no surprise to you that Henry Cuellar regularly opposes wildly popular policies like lifting children out of poverty, reducing drug prices, and ending taxpayer giveaways to wealthy oil companies destroying our planet.
He worked hard to weaken Bernie's budget as one of the few House Democrats who held up the legislation for months.
It gets worse. In a state that is on the cutting edge of passing horrifying abortion restrictions, Cuellar has the dubious honor of being the only anti-choice Democrat currently in office. And he’s the only Democrat in the US House who voted against pro-union legislation.
Despite Cuellar’s disdain for popular Democratic policies, establishment Democrats like Steny Hoyer are going all out to keep him in power.
