We have to catch you up on what's happening in Florida, John -- it's a doozy.
The state's far-right governor, Ron DeSantis, decided that legislative Republicans weren't doing a good enough job gerrymandering -- so he tried to intervene in the process by proposing a map that would cut the number of majority-Black districts in half.
After the Florida Supreme Court denied the governor's request for an advisory opinion on the DeSantis map, the legislature declined to take his map up. But DeSantis is trying again with a second map nearly identical to his first!
He'll stop at nothing to manipulate the maps so his party has an easier time winning in Florida in 2022 and 2024 -- when he's reportedly rumored to be considering a run for president. Will you help the NDRC stop greedy governors like DeSantis in the fight for fair maps all over the country?

We won't mince words: It's disgusting that DeSantis is following in the footsteps of other Republicans across the country by trying to seize power from Black voters:
But at the NDRC, we're committed to making sure all communities get the representation they deserve. Will you chip in to support this critical work?
