Hey there, John. It's Daniel, Abby Finkenauer's husband. This is a photo of us from only a few years ago, but I swear it could've been a lifetime ago.
Abby and I have had a pretty eventful few years. From getting married, to Abby serving in Congress, to launching her campaign against Sen. Grassley (R-IA), it's been a whirlwind. But I wouldn't have it any other way.
You see, when there's work to be done or a problem to solve, Abby signs up and does the work to make her community a better place every single time. That's why she ran for the Iowa House of Representatives at only 25 years old, and then four years later became the youngest woman to flip a U.S. House seat from Republican to Democratic.
When I married Abby, I knew that I was marrying a fighter – someone 100% committed to public service, someone who knows and appreciates the value of hard work, someone who's going to spend her life doing all the good she can. That's what I love about her, and it's why I know she's going to work her heart out to become the next senator from Iowa and fight for working families.
I have complete faith that Abby will defeat Sen. Grassley, but we both know how things work in Iowa. Last time around, our Senate election was one of the most expensive in the country. The Republican establishment is ready to pour millions into our state to attack competitive challengers like Abby, and right now, they have $39 million in the bank to protect vulnerable incumbents like Sen. Grassley, who's facing record-low approval with Iowans.
This is where you come in, John: Abby and other candidates fighting for fair elections can win if they have an unprecedented grassroots movement backing them. Will you help Abby and The Majority Rules PAC raise another $5,000 before their end-of-month fundraising deadline? Donate $5 or whatever you can right now, and every dollar will ensure Abby's campaign has what it takes to defeat top Trump ally Sen. Grassley and protect our democracy.
It means the world to have you on this team. Thank you so much for supporting Abby.
