The events of this past week have been truly heartbreaking. Late Wednesday night, we learned that Putin ordered the Russian military to invade Ukraine, a sovereign and democratic nation that wants peace and independence — violating international law and creating a humanitarian disaster.

I stand with the people of Ukraine, and condemn Putin’s senseless, unprovoked acts of aggression. We must continue to stand strong with our European allies and with NATO, and hold Putin accountable for the largest invasion in Europe since World War II.

During times like these, it’s understandable to experience feelings of helplessness or even hopelessness. That’s what makes collective action so powerful and necessary, especially now. When we come together, I know this team can do so much good.
