Being honest with you.

Hi John, I’ll be honest with you:

February is a historically tough month for campaign fundraising, and this year’s is proving no different.

I hope you’ll give me a chance to explain more, but first will you consider making a donation to help us get back on track to hit our finance goals before the month ends? You’re a dedicated supporter of Barbara’s campaign, and I wouldn’t be asking if it weren’t important.

Stuck in between our major end-of-year deadline and the first quarterly FEC public filing deadline of the election year, dampened enthusiasm in February isn’t all that uncommon.

So it’s no surprise to our finance team that donations have been trickling in at a slower pace this month.

But taking into account that we’re also working with the shortest month of the year, that makes it even trickier for us to close the fundraising gap in time.

It may not seem like it, but the California primary is right around the corner — and next, the midterm elections in November. I don’t have to tell you what’s at stake this year, but I can’t emphasize enough how critical it is that we have the resources to preserve the progress we’ve made and prevent a GOP takeover.

John, can I count on you to chip in and help close the gap before February 28th? Even $12 will allow Barbara and our campaign to prepare for whatever Republicans throw our way as they seek to take back control of the House majority.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Thanks!
