Comrades -
Russia's invasion of Ukraine is a devastating escalation of tensions in the region, tensions which have been inflamed in large part by US and NATO brinkmanship. We must stand with the chorus of voices worldwide calling for peace, as this conflict can only be resolved through diplomacy by all responsible parties, including the US and NATO. We must oppose any further escalation by the US and its allies, whether through military aid or economic sanctions. We must remember that US economic sanctions, however targeted, come at a massive human cost borne almost exclusively by the working class. We must demand that the US offer asylum for war and political refugees without limit.
Join us tomorrow, Sunday, at 2pm at the Colorado State Capitol as our Denver community comes together to call for peace. We will also be gathering to make signs at the SEIU Union Hall, 2525 W Alameda Ave, today, Saturday, at 4pm. Let's make a clear demand that the US chooses diplomacy.
In solidarity,
Denver DSA Steering Committee
