Friend – my daughter Jaime was murdered with an assault weapon in the Parkland massacre four years ago. 

Since then, Marco Rubio hasn't lifted a finger to end gun violence. He still refuses to work with Parkland survivors like me to reduce gun violence and save lives. He still lets the gun lobby buy his vote.

I confronted Marco Rubio at a town hall just one week after my daughter was murdered. I asked him to do something about the gun violence epidemic that stole my Jaime from our family, and he couldn't even look me in the eye.

Val Demings, on the other hand, has been a staunch supporter of gun safety reform since day one. If she wins, gun safety champions can expand their majority in the Senate, and they'll finally have enough votes to ban weapons of war like the one that killed my Jaime. 

The problem is that Marco Rubio has a massive war chest from the gun lobby and far-right megadonors. And national Republicans are gearing up to run their first round of attack ads to defeat Val Demings right now. She needs $50,000 before midnight tonight – or she could fall behind in this race.
