Friends, this is the final day of this campaign. In less than 24 hours, voters will head to the polls to decide this election. 

We've fought a tough race. The last time I ran, we were a long shot. A lot of people didn't think we had a chance. This time we've had a record to run on. We've made a lot of progress for Louisiana. But, we've also ended up being a target for big special interests. We've been caught up in national politics that have nothing to do with the fight for progress here at home. I wish that wasn't the case, because we've done so much. However, that only means it's that much more important that we win this runoff. To do so, I need to ask you, right now, to pitch in to get us across the finish line.

I can't tell you how proud I am of the campaign we have run. This has been a fight about the future of our state. This has been about bringing people together -- no matter their political party -- to say that we can do better. To say that we can move forward and overcome our challenges. The results we've had speak for themselves. Our state is better than it was under Bobby Jindal, or than it could be under Eddie Rispone. Our potential is limitless.

None of us asked for this race to become politicized the way it has been. We didn't invite the big special interests to flood our race with outside money. But, if that's the case, then we'll fight back. Because that's what we do, we fight for what's right, and when it's tough we fight even more.
