As you get to know me, you’ll learn I’m a pretty direct person (why waste time beating around the bush??). So here’s the truth - We’re up against a lot this year. Our majorities in both the House and Senate are razor thin. We know that parties usually lose dozens of seats, if not more, in the first midterm election with a new President in the White House. And now the GOP is going after vulnerable Democrats like Josh by launching vicious attacks and spreading misinformation to critical Latino communities.
Ok, so now that we’ve said what we’re up against out loud, let’s do something about it. To defy history, we need to organize smarter than we’ve ever done before. We need to empower communities of color and speak to the issues that matter most to them. And we need to fight back with the power of our grassroots supporters.

There is no more time for us to sit around and hope things go our way this year. We can’t just let the Republicans take control of Congress without putting up a fight. Instead, we need to own up to the fact that we’re going up against history in this election and then we need to take action, because this is going to take a historic effort, but our democracy depends on it.
