I know you’re busy, but this is going to be one of the longer messages I send you — and I would appreciate it if you could take the time to read it.

We’re reaching a crucial point in this campaign, and I wanted to outline why your support is critical to the success of this grassroots movement. But first, I’m going to ask if you’ll chip in to my campaign’s end-of-month deadline to help us hit our goal:

Step 1: Engage Voters Across the Entire District

Talking to my constituents in Alabama's 7th District is one of my favorite parts of this job — it’s important for me to hear directly from folks across the district about the issues that matter to them and the challenges they’re facing.

This work is crucial to our success in 2022. In addition to reaching out to people in person, we plan on continuing to conduct issue surveys, distribute petitions, and connect over email with supporters. Your contributions are key to this campaign’s successful digital organizing.

Step 2: Stand Up to the GOP and Right-Wing Attacks

Right now, the GOP is doing every they can to target Democrats across the country in the hopes of regaining power. But folks, I’ve never been afraid to stand up to bullies.

The GOP has already named me in a malicious attack ad calling me a radical (something that couldn’t be further from the truth!), and I now have my first Republican challenger in a decade seeking to unseat me and flip my district bright red.

I’m counting on supporters like you to help me defend this seat from MAGA Republicans and help me push back against GOP attacks on this campaign.

Step 3: Advocate for the Issue that Matter

My constituents have always been at the heart of everything I do, and 2022 will be no exception.

I’m going to continue fighting in Congress for the issues that matter to Alabamians like:

• Protecting voting rights


• Expanding access to affordable healthcare


• Strengthening our infrastructure


• Providing a lifeline to our economy

If Republicans regain control of Congress, they’ll undo all of the progress we’ve made these past few years.

That’s why I send you emails like these and ask for your help to reach my fundraising goals — my team and I count on your help to generate the resources we need to keep fighting for progress in Congress.

Folks, that’s our game plan.
