$100,000 before our February fundraising deadline on Monday night and flip
this Pennsylvania Senate seat.

That said, we think we owe you an explanation. Some context, if you will:

Every fiscal quarter, campaigns like ours are legally required to report
out all our latest fundraising numbers to the Federal Election Commission.
Basically, the momentum of our campaign becomes public information.

So, as you might expect, reporters will be scouring these numbers — as
will our opponents and the super PACs that support them. But now that
we’re just months away from the primary, they won’t just be looking at if
we hit our end-of-quarter goal, but how we performed against all of our
fundraising goals this quarter.

John, not
only do we need to *look* like a strong campaign — we really need to show
consistency, so our opponents know we’re the real deal.

We know they can sometimes start to pile up (trust us, we get them all
too!).

But the reality is that, if we want to continue being *the* winning
grassroots campaign in a crowded race for the #1 Most Likely to Flip
Senate seat of 2022, then we MUST raise as much money as possible each and
every day leading up to our primary election.

Don’t get us wrong: We absolutely have the team out there to make this
happen. We're doing this the right way, no corporate PACs allowed. Just
working people from Pittsburgh and all across
Pennsylvania.

The only way we can win is with lots of online donations — big or small —
