For many people, caucuses are an unfamiliar tradition. In short, they are how we nominate candidates to be on the ballot. And they are a great way to see your neighbors and be involved in our democratic process. Let me explain.

What is a caucus anyways?
At each caucus, Democratic party members who live in and around your neighborhood elect the delegates who will go to the county, district, and state assemblies and help decide the candidates who make the ballot. An excellent guide for the process is available here [[link removed]] .

When and where are caucuses held?
This year, caucuses will be held March 1–5 in-person, virtually, or hybrid, based on your precinct or county. Click here [[link removed]] for up-to-date time and location information.

If I go, what should I say and do?
Those attending caucus will have the opportunity to sign up as a precinct leader or a delegate to the State Assembly. Or to vote on those who will serve in those roles. Precinct leaders organize future political activities, and delegates help by selecting county and legislative candidates. And by attending, you can share with fellow Democrats why it’s important that I can continue serving as Colorado’s Attorney General.

If I attend, how can I prepare?
