I’m so proud to endorse my sister-in-service and friend, Rashida Tlaib, for re-election in the 2022 midterm election cycle.

While serving together in Congress over the past three years, we’ve organized, advocated, and introduced bold policies to deliver the change our communities deserve and demand.

But there is still so much more work to be done, and our progressive priorities are at stake this year.

Rashida and I both know that our communities have waited far too long for change. That’s why Rashida and I have fought for systemic, transformative solutions that uplift those who have been left out and left behind. For example:

• We’ve introduced legislation to protect people experiencing homelessness and our incarcerated loved ones during the COVID-19 crisis.
• We’ve called for an international independent investigation of human rights abuses under the Department of Homeland Security.
• We’re pushing for the federal government to honor Indigenous treaties and halt dirty pipeline construction.
• We’ve introduced sweeping legislation to strengthen tenants’ rights and protections, and we’ve pushed for tenants’ civil liberties by blocking racist facial recognition surveillance from public housing units.
• We serve together on the House Financial Services Committee, where we fight against corporate greed and systems that hurt our communities.
• We’re holding the Federal Reserve accountable, including to mandate big banks to fully divest from fossil fuels.  
• We’ve also advocated for reproductive justice and for women’s rights to serve in politics without threats of violence.
• And together we held the line to pass the Build Back Better Act.

As we push for progress, we’re up against powerful corporate interests and obstructionists who are attacking our democracy in service of their own bottom line. We can’t let Republicans and special interests deflate the progressive momentum we’ve worked so hard to build.

Rashida and I run grassroots campaigns that don’t take a dime from corporate PACs. That’s why support from people like you is so crucial.
