Hi Friend,

What a week. Every time I think the actions of our Governor can’t get any worse, Greg Abbott manages to reach a new low. I’m so fed up with his failed leadership, and Friend, I know you are too. Texans deserve better.

Governor Abbott failed to keep Texans safe during last year’s winter storm and has failed to take the measures necessary to protect us in the year since. And adding insult to injury, Abbott was lining the pockets of his allies and getting Texans to pay for it.

While Texans froze to death in their homes, Abbott “directed” our energy department to keep prices at their highest amount so his wealthy donors could profit off of our suffering:

Houston Chronicle headline: The former head of the Texas power grid testified in court Wednesday that when he ordered power prices to stay at the maximum price cap for days on end during last year’s frigid winter storm and blackout, he was following the direction of Gov. Greg Abbott.

Friend, it’s time for a new governor.

If you’re just as fed up with Greg Abbott as I am, will you rush $7 before our end-of-month deadline to kick him out in November?

There’s so much pain in our state, our country, and our world right now. That’s why it’s more important than ever that we take our anger and frustration, and use it to elect leaders who care about the people they serve.

We have an opportunity this year to change our state and with it, the world. But we can’t do it without you.

Thanks for being with us in the fight,

Hannah Roe Beck
