At the end of the day, we are going to win this campaign because we have more grassroots support and more activism than any other campaign.

Friends -

I want to be very honest with you for a moment, if I may.

These emails are a very large part of how we're funding this campaign. That's pretty remarkable when you think about it.

I don't travel the country holding private events with wealthy campaign contributors. Our campaign does not have a super PAC. And I am not a self-funding billionaire trying to buy this election.

The way we will raise what it takes to win this primary, defeat Trump, and transform our country is from lots and lots of people making small donations, often in response to messages like the one you're reading right now.

I am writing you today because we are aiming for a very large number of donations before midnight to catch up on our November fundraising goal. Since you're an important part of this movement, I'd like to ask if you can make your first contribution today.

Can you make a $2.70 contribution to our campaign before midnight? We’re hoping for as many individual contributions from as many people as possible before an internal deadline we’ve set for ourselves ends later today. Thank you.

We have received more contributions from more people at this point in the race than any candidate in the history of American politics. We have an unprecedented movement that is far more powerful than big checks from wealthy campaign contributors.

If we stand together, I have zero doubt in my mind that we will win this election and transform this country.

That is why I need to ask:

Please contribute $2.70 before midnight tonight. Any amount you can give – however large or small – makes a big difference for the success of our movement.

It is not simply about how much money we raise. It is also about the number of people who are contributing to make this campaign possible.

In solidarity,

Bernie Sanders

Can Bernie count on you to make a $2.70 contribution to our campaign before midnight? We are short of where we need to be as we approach the halfway point of our final FEC deadline of the year. This is important.
