John,
After the insurrection, Walgreens spoke out against the attack on our democracy and announced that their PAC was suspending contributions to the Sedition Caucus—the 147 members of Congress who voted to object to the certification of the election.
Walgreens kept their pledge…for a while. But starting in November, Walgreens abandoned their pledge and donated over $25,000 to 12 members of the Sedition Caucus. Walgreens isn’t the first company to donate to the Sedition Caucus after pledging not to, but public pressure on them could help ensure they’re one of the last.
Will you sign on and tell Walgreens to stop funding sedition?
Around 130 companies, including Disney, Lyft, American Express and Nike have kept their pledges so far. More companies could join them, by pledging to stop donating to the Sedition Caucus and calling on those members of Congress to renounce their votes. Toyota briefly gave to the Sedition Caucus last summer, but they quickly reversed course after we led a public pressure campaign.
Walgreens has the same opportunity now. Send them a message, and let them know: don’t fuel sedition. It’s really that simple.
Thank you,
Noah Bookbinder
