President Joe Biden announced his intent to nominate Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the U.S. Supreme Court this morning. Americans United for Life had drawn a clear line in the sand after Justice Stephen Breyer announced his retirement: any nominee who held either pro-abortion views or feigned neutrality over Roe v. Wade and the issue of abortion would not be qualified to ascend to the Supreme Court.
“Tragically, and literally within seconds of President Biden’s announcement, NARAL, Planned Parenthood, and other abortion activists applauded the president’s nomination of Ketanji Brown Jackson,” said Catherine Glenn Foster, President & CEO of Americans United for Life. “Although Ketanji Brown Jackson has not yet explicitly stated her views on Roe or abortion, NARAL, Planned Parenthood, and other abortion activists see in her an ally for the moral crime of abortion.”
