john —

Tina asked me to reach out directly to you. In a few moments, I am going to ask you to make a donation to my re-election campaign. But first, I hope you'll give me a chance to explain why this request is so important.

john, I never planned for a career in politics. I was raised by a single mom and grew up in a mobile home park. I watched her work hard and complete her teaching degree over nine years while raising three kids with the help of my grandmother.

Like my mom, I worked two jobs and took out student loans to put myself through state college. I started my career as a newspaper reporter and worked my way up over 20 years in business to lead a workforce of 16,000 for a major Minnesota manufacturer.

I worked hard to get where I am, but I was pretty lucky, too. For too many Americans today, hard work doesn’t pay off like it used to.

College is unaffordable and technical training doesn't always match the jobs that are available. Health care costs are too high. Incomes aren’t keeping up with the costs of groceries and prescription drugs. We can do better.

That’s why I ran for Congress, and that’s what I’ve been working on day-in, day-out since being elected. But just last week, a special five-judge panel carved out new boundaries for Minnesota’s 2nd District, raising the stakes of my re-election campaign even higher after narrowly winning in 2020.

This is the closest congressional race in Minnesota and it could determine whether or not Democrats keep the House majority — which is why GOP super PACs are already running nonstop attack ads. I need your help, john.

Will you split a donation between our campaign and Tina Smith’s work to defend our majority in Washington? We have a tough fight ahead of us, so I’m counting on you to help us reach voters in our newly-drawn district. [[link removed]]

My wife, Cheryl, and I chose Minnesota as our home because as Minnesotans, we uniquely understand the importance of family, community, and caring for each other. I lived in Eagan for nearly a decade and recently moved to Prior Lake. I’m a Rotarian and have served on several local boards over the years.

This is my community.

I will never give up on the Minnesota and America that we can create by working together. I humbly ask for your support in my re-election campaign to continue to represent folks like you in Congress and advance this important work.

Thanks for your support.

— Angie
