It has been a fast paced week here in the world of North Carolina politics. For our part, we are organizing across the district, squarely focused on the issues that matter most to people in WNC, from expanding rural broadband access to expanding early childhood education.

Meanwhile, Madison Cawthorn is in Florida for CPAC, and has announced a new platform detailing his extremist vision for our country. In a dramatic 14 minute video, Cawthorn debuted the ten pillars of his “New Contract with America” – like obstructing climate action, banning “culturally subversive ideas” in schools, and enacting a nationwide abortion ban.

This isn’t standard issue stuff - it’s an extremist platform that Cawthorn is working to spread across our country, with WNC as ground zero.

I’m running for Congress because I know there’s a way forward for us together in WNC – a future that doesn’t involve Cawthorn’s extremist politics, but that is based on love, hope, empathy, and doing right by each other. Will you chip in $10 – $1 for each pillar of Cawthorn’s contract – to make sure his vision never becomes a reality?
