John, Across North Carolina, communities are already experiencing the devastating impacts of climate change. Even worse, these impacts are hitting communities of color and low income the hardest, exacerbating existing racial and economic inequities. It’s critical that we move away from dirty fossil fuels and build a more sustainable, healthy future for all communities. We have a rare opportunity to do that with the federal 100% Clean Economy Act, which will transition our economy to 100% clean energy and net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. In doing so, we can improve public health for communities most impacted by pollution and climate change, ensure fossil fuel workers are trained for family-sustaining clean energy jobs, and reduce the harmful carbon pollution that is fueling extreme weather events like Hurricane Dorian. North Carolinians like you are leading the fight to build a cleaner, safer economy for all of us. Now, it’s up to us to keep that momentum going and hold our elected leaders accountable to act. That’s why we’re working with our partners in the Conservation Voters Movement to flood congressional inboxes and show them just how important it is to invest in our clean energy economy today. Click here to add John xxxxxx as a 100% Clean Economy Act supporter! >> This is all part of our Clean Energy For All campaign to transition our economy to 100% clean energy by 2050. Progress is already happening at the state and local levels across the country, including right here in North Carolina. Gov. Cooper has released his bold clean energy plan. Charlotte and other cities have their own 100% clean energy goals. Now it’s time for the federal government to step up. Will you join a movement of dedicated North Carolinians committed to advancing a just economic transition to Clean Energy for All, John? There’s no time to waste: Tell Congress to advance our clean energy economy right now! >>
