Dear neighbor:
I join many of you in expressing my horror at the conflict in Ukraine. My prayers are with the Ukrainian people and all those impacted by Vladimir Putin’s unprovoked and unjustified attack on Ukraine. Read my full statement on Russia’s invasion below or on my website here.
As President Biden said in his remarks, “America stands up to bullies.” We will continue to support the Ukrainian people as they defend their country from this unprovoked attack.
In other news, President Biden has selected Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson as his nominee to the United States Supreme Court. Judge Jackson is exceptionally qualified and deeply committed to equal justice under the law. If confirmed, she will make history by becoming the first Black woman to sit on the highest court in the land. She will be a great Supreme Court Justice.
