Everytown for Gun Safety

Dear John,

The NRA's birthday is this weekend — and they have nothing to celebrate.

Last year, we gave them the gift of stinging electoral defeats up and down the ballot, electing Gun Sense Majorities in the U.S. House and state capitals across the country. And this year, we defeated the NRA in their home state by helping Gun Sense Candidates take control of the Virginia General Assembly.

Today, help the Everytown Victory Fund gift the NRA even bigger defeats in 2020 >>

Fight the NRA on it's Birthday. Donate to the Everytown Victory Fund.

Make no mistake, the NRA is still a threat to gun safety. Thanks to the gun lobby's aggressive hardball politics, the U.S. Senate hasn't voted on a single gun safety bill this year. Even after horrific shootings in El Paso, Dayton, and elsewhere, the NRA and its allies in Congress managed to block progress.

But John, the NRA is more vulnerable than ever. In the wake of our 2018 and 2019 victories, a Gun Sense Majority in the U.S. House of Representatives passed critical gun safety legislation, including background checks on all gun sales. Landmark gun safety legislation was signed into law in states across America.

As we gear up for 2020, we have a critical opportunity to break the NRA's stranglehold on power once and for all. So let's mark the NRA's 148th birthday by doubling down on our work to defeat the gun lobby in the 2020 elections.
