John,
The State Board of Education’s first overhaul of health curriculum standards in more than two decades is already under attack from extremists who oppose teaching Texas students about sexual and reproductive health. We need your help right away to counter their reckless misinformation campaign.
CLICK HERE TO CONTACT YOUR BOARD MEMBER.
Anti-sex education activists are telling board members wild scare stories and spreading other myths about teaching students factual information on contraception, STI prevention, sexual orientation, gender identity, and even the importance of consent in sexual relationships. They’re insisting instead on a failed abstinence-only approach on sex education that leaves students ignorant about how to protect their health and future.
Some board members say they aren’t hearing from supporters in favor of including this critical information in the new health standards. So click here to send a message telling your board member to teach Texas students the truth when it comes to sex education.
In the fight,
Carisa Lopez TFN Political Director
