[1]Women's March
It’s a historic day,
John.
Today, President Biden announced that he has nominated Judge Ketanji Brown
Jackson to fill the soon to be vacant seat of Justice Stephen Breyer.
[ [link removed] ]NPR headline reads: Biden has pick Ketanji Brown Jackson as his Supreme
Court nominee
If confirmed, Kentanji Brown Jackson would be the first Black woman to
serve on the Supreme Court of the United States: For women, for Black
people, and especially for Black women, this representation is necessary
and long overdue.
Women’s March celebrates President Biden’s pick not simply because of what
Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson represents but because of who she is: a
brilliant legal mind, a jurist with a proven record of protecting the
rights of the most vulnerable, and, critically, a public defender by
training, the first ever to rise to the Supreme Court.
Women’s March is prepared to organize and fight to ensure Judge Jackson is
confirmed swiftly. [ [link removed] ]Will you chip in $5 to support our

feminist future and appoint a Justice who will defend women’s rights to the
Supreme Court.

John, during the
Trump administration, we watched as he and his cronies packed the courts with
extremist right-wing judges. We witnessed how Mitch McConnell pulled every dirty
trick in the book to confirm a conservative judge to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg
— jumping on the phone with Trump within hours of her death.
The GOP is ruthless,
John. We must be prepared to push
back and organize like our lives and livelihoods depend on it — because they
do. Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson would make an incredible addition to the Supreme
Court in any day and age —but at this moment in time, she’s incomparable. With
so much on the line — including the reversal of Roe v. Wade and the potential
end of abortion as we know it — President Biden and Senate Democrats must act
swiftly.
Democrats must confirm Kentanji Jackson Brown no more than 30 days after Justice
Breyer officially steps down at the end of the term.
Women’s March is ready to mobilize and put pressure on President Biden and
the Senate to appoint Justice Jackson to the Supreme Court. [ [link removed] ]Will you
chip in $5 right now to send a powerful message today that
our movement is ready to fight to transform our Supreme Court?
