Instead of fighting for the issues that matter most to Kentuckians, Republicans in the Kentucky House are trying to pass legislation that would exempt private planes from state and local property taxes.

To make matters worse, this bill would reduce local and school tax revenues by $2.5 million annually. Republicans are making it clear what their priorities are – and it's not our children and educators.

While the GOP tries to pass this harmful tax break, Andy is fighting for our students, educators, and public schools. He recently unveiled plans to add nearly $2 billion to the state's education budget which includes salary increases for educators.

He also signed an executive order freezing property tax on vehicles after a 40% increase from the previous year, and proposed a reduction in the sales tax to deal with the rising cost of goods.

Andy knows we shouldn't be giving tax breaks to the wealthy at the expense of our children and teachers. That's why he'll always fight to ensure our schools have the funding they need, but he's counting on your support.
