February may have been a short month, but it was full of activity.
This month, Republican lawmakers in the state legislature aggressively pushed a 15-week abortion ban through the House, and it's expected to pass the Senate next week.
As we face our toughest fight over abortion rights yet, we need to be prepared. While now, this abortion ban is unconstitutional, that may not last long. Roe v. Wade is on the precipice of being overturned, and we can’t let our guard down.
Throughout the last few weeks, our candidates and alumni have spoken up against this extreme ban. Their voices have amplified our movement to protect reproductive freedom in Florida.
With the midterm elections only nine months away, it’s no exaggeration to say that our time to act is quickly running out. We have to strengthen our movement now so we can be prepared in the coming months.
And when this abortion ban becomes law, the fights we face will become even more important.
