Friend – this is Gary. I’m incredibly pleased that President Biden has nominated Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court. This is a historic nomination: if confirmed, Judge Jackson would become the first Black woman to serve on our nation’s highest court. 

President Biden promised he’d break this glass ceiling – and he kept his promise.

We know firsthand just how vital the Supreme Court is. Important decisions that impact the day-to-day lives of Americans from all walks of life are decided there – whether it’s protecting Roe v. Wade and the right of women and families to make their own personal health care decisions or providing coverage for preexisting conditions, workers’ rights and so many others.

But let’s be very clear – Republicans and Mitch McConnell are gearing up to launch a massive opposition campaign to try and block this historic nominee.

We can’t let that happen. Fortunately, we have supporters like you on our side to push back and overcome their millions in corporate dark money.

That’s why I created this petition to remind my colleagues of the stakes of this Supreme Court nomination – and the need for a swift confirmation process.
