FSD is a nonprofit organization that helps girls transform their lives and grow in confidence, leadership and academic achievement. We are the only organization for girls of color that combines the power of education with access to the artistic discipline of figure skating to build champions in life. Figure Skating in Detroit's mission is to impact girls 6-18 through the art of figure skating and academics. We are the only organization in the world to combine the two and all of our girls are required to maintain a "B" average academically. Our impact is growing and it's something we are really proud of.
