Last week, I announced another $11.5 million in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development for several area projects. I will continue to be a strong advocate for investment in rural communities across Northeastern Pennsylvania as we work to grow our local economies and strengthen infrastructure.
I encourage local governments, nonprofits and businesses to explore what USDA Rural Development has to offer.

According to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 16,300 manufacturing jobs have been added throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since February 2021. This shows us that our economic plan is working, and we are getting Pennsylvanians back to work. However, the work is far from over.
The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and the America COMPETES Act will build off the momentum of the American Rescue plan by creating millions more good-paying jobs by rebuilding America’s infrastructure and investing in U.S. manufacturing.
