Putin’s attack on Ukraine is unjustified and will bring catastrophic loss and suffering. I stand with the people of Ukraine in condemning this act and will join my colleagues in responding in a swift and strong manner. We will hold Russia accountable. 

Last week, I announced another $11.5 million in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development for several area projects. I will continue to be a strong advocate for investment in rural communities across Northeastern Pennsylvania as we work to grow our local economies and strengthen infrastructure. 

I encourage local governments, nonprofits and businesses to explore what USDA Rural Development has to offer.

Manufacturing Jobs in the Commonwealth

According to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 16,300 manufacturing jobs have been added throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since February 2021. This shows us that our economic plan is working, and we are getting Pennsylvanians back to work. However, the work is far from over.
