Friend -- President Biden just officially announced his pick to be our next Supreme Court justice: Ketanji Brown Jackson!

Judge Jackson is eminently qualified to serve on the Supreme Court. She clerked for Justice Stephen Breyer and served as a public defender in Washington. She currently sits on D.C.'s federal appellate court and will bring the experience of her impressive career to the highest court in the land.

Jackson just made history by becoming the first Black woman to be nominated to the Supreme Court. Now, I'm calling on the Senate to make history by acting quickly to consider and confirm her nomination.

Add your voice to mine today if you agree: The Senate must swiftly confirm Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court!

In addition to her formal qualifications, Ketanji Brown Jackson's perspective as the first Black American woman on the Supreme Court is critically needed. The Supreme Court should look like America. Wherever power operates, from boardrooms to courtrooms, we see better-informed, fairer decisions when the people making them bring diverse perspectives to the table.

I look forward to having Jackson's voice on the court as it determines the future of voting rights, reproductive freedom, and more, and I urge the Senate to confirm her as soon as possible.

Add your name right now to urge the Senate to confirm Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court.

More soon,

Chuck Schumer
